• Kurumları Karşılaştırmak: Dünyada ve Türkiye'de Başkanlık Sistemi Tartışmaları:  This paper emphasizes on discussion of presidential vs. parliamentary governments from an institutionalist perspective and compares alternative explanation by using contribution to democracy criteria borrowed from Przeworski. • The Uneasy Task: Consolidating Democracies in the Globalization Era:  This paper discusses results of the globalization on new democracies by specially emphasizing on two cases: Peru and South Korea. It also includes alternative explanations and both inter and intrasocietal distributional consequences of globalization.

This paper won the second prize in the Competition of Young Social Scientist of Turkish Society of Social Sciences.
